Deleting a Page v3.1

Purpose

This work instruction explains how to delete a page from your website.

Prerequisites

Navigating Forrit One CMS

Create a New Task v3.1

Supplementary

Overview

Deleting a page is a simple task, but you must pay attention to how you delete them when there are multiple open tasks.

Before you start, it is important to check if anyone else in your team has active tasks, and advise them you are going to delete a page from the website.

Please read here for more information on how tasks are merged.

Instructions

  • Navigate to Pages from the side menu.

  • Ensure a task is selected.

  • Open the page tree if it is minimised.

  • Find the page you want to delete, and right click it to open the page menu.

  • Click Delete

  • A delete confirmation dialog appears. Press Yes if you wish to continue.

  • At this stage, the page has been removed from the task only. Once the task is completed and a release is created and approved, then the page will be removed from your production website.

Page Recovery

It is not possible to recover a page in the CMS after it has been deleted on a task and the task has been completed.

If the task has not yet been completed, then the task may be deleted from the Branch Management screen. Any changes made on that task, including the page deletion, will be discarded.
