Summary of Changes v3.3

This release note covers all changes implemented in release v3.3.

Feature Improvement	#	Above the Fold	Search, filter, and sort options for each page can now be hidden by using an expand/collapse button in the page title bar. The List View/Grid View button and ‘view only my tasks’ checkbox have also been moved into the page title bar to provide more space for editors.

Improvement	34403	Dialogue consistency – ‘about’ dialogue	A ‘close’ button has been added to the ‘about’ dialogue for consistency with other dialogues.
Improvement	35493	Media Item display in Page Editor	Media Items in the Page Editor `Content` tab are now immediately displayed with thumbnail and options visible – rather than an ‘edit’ click being required.
Improvement	35786	Empty Content Item production rendering	Empty Content Items are now rendered as empty strings in production environments, rather than `##NOT FOUND##`.
Improvement	35957	Search, filter, and sort field clearing	The ‘clear’ button associated with searching, filtering, and sorting now resets all relevant fields to defaults.
Improvement	36105	Media Item duplicate upload warning	Users are now warned when attempting to upload Media Items that already exist.
Improvement	36353	Routing Manager search improvements	Routing Manager search now works with URLs, destination routes, and Media Item names.
Improvement	37100	Page Layout detail visible outside Tasks	Page Layout details such as template slots are now expanded and visible when outside the context of a Task – but remain read-only.
Improvement	37152	Unsaved changes warning reword	The warning shown when navigating away from the Page Editor with unsaved changes has had its options reworded from ‘continue’ and ‘cancel’ to ‘discard changes’ and ‘cancel’.

Improvement	38164	Media Item annotations	Media Item thumbnails in the Media Library and Media Picker are now overlaid with annotations of file name and file type.
Improvement	38902	Picklist Item name minimum length removal	Picklist Item names are no longer required to be 3 characters or more in length.
Improvement	38929	Page Editor tab reshuffle, rename	The `History` tab has been removed; the `Settings` tab has been moved to the right; and the `Translation` tab has been renamed to `Translate`, resulting in the following Page Editor tab order: `Layout` → `Content` → `Translate` → `Settings`.
Improvement	39138	Project label dropdown	The Project label at the top of the screen is now a dropdown menu that can be used to switch between Projects.
Improvement	39539	Page Template and Component Template Head/Body warnings	A warning is now shown in Page Layouts where Components are in the wrong Head or Body section, even when this occurs within Page Templates and Component Templates. Users are now also prevented from creating such a conflict when editing Page Layouts that include templates.
Improvement	39616	Audit History default filter text	The default filter text within Audit History has been changed from `None` to `All` for consistency with other application filters.
Improvement	39627	Page route tooltip	An information tooltip has been added for the Page route field, which is visible in the ‘add new page’ dialogue and in Page settings.
Improvement	39630	‘Add new release’ dialogue clarity update	The Task dropdown is now hidden from the ‘add new release’ dialogue when ‘approved content’ is selected, for clarity – since Task is redundant when ‘approved content’ is selected.
Improvement	39721	Switch between Component Editor and Configure Variables screens with errors present	Users are no longer restricted from moving between the Component Editor and Configure Variables screens if errors are present. Instead, errors must only be resolved before saving.
Improvement	39724	Page Tree refreshing and collapsing	The Page Tree no longer collapses due to the actions of other users, but the tree is still updated and these updates can be seen in any open folders where changes have occured.
Improvement	39739	‘View page’ button move	The ‘view page' button has been moved to the right-hand side of the Page Editor, above the Component list, to reduce empty spacing.
Improvement	40776	Audit History filterable by name, and Work History button	Audit History is now filterable by object name, such as a Page, Component, or Variant name. Additionally, a new ‘Work History' button has been added for each search result, allowing users to inspect the history of particular objects.
Improvement	40982	Page Editor collapsible Component list	The list of Components shown at the right-hand side of the Page Editor’s `Content` tab is now collapsible to provide more space for content editing.
Improvement	41001	‘Help’ button move	The ‘help’ button has been moved to the top of the page, next to the notifications icon.
Improvement	41127	Translation Job Manager rename	The Translation Job page title has been renamed from `Job Manager` to `Translation Job` for consistency.
Improvement	41239	Page settings Work History button	A Work History button has been added in the Page Editor `Settings` tab, which takes users to the Work History for that Page in Audit History.
Improvement	41613	Routing Manager search improvements – consistency	Search functionality in the Routing Manager is now consistently case-insensitive and partial-match supporting across the `Pages`, `Media items`, `External redirect`, and `Consumer routes` tabs.
Improvement	45150	RTE Media Items – Data Feeds	The Rich Text Editor within Data Feeds can now select and include images from the Media Library.
Bug	39601	Task Review Locale dropdown erroneous entries	The Locale dropdown in Task Review under the `Impact` tab no longer sometimes lists all Locales; only edited Locales appear. Additionally, Locales modified as a result of fallback rules are now also listed.
Bug	40974	Locale Collection changes not reflected in other Locales	Changes in Locale Collection size/order no longer sometimes fail to be reflected in the UI for other Locales.
Bug	41562	Component Template slot removal causes error on save	The Component Editor no longer errors when saving immediately after removing the markup of a template slot – the save button is now disabled while markup is changing, before the save function is ready.
Bug	41581	RTE table cell split causes error on save	Splitting a table cell in the Rich Text Editor no longer causes the Component Editor to error on save.
Bug	41219	Invalid referencing of Collection causes error on save	Users are now warned and prevented from saving when Collections are accidentally or otherwise redeclared within `ctx-foreach`.
Bug	42701	Improved error messaging for conflicting Variable names	The error shown in the Configure Variables screen when conflicting Variable names exist within a Task has been updated to show both the offending Variable name and Task name.
Bug	44659	Collection Items expand while being reordered	Collection Items no longer expand while being reordered in the Page Editor `Content` tab and maintain their existing expand/collapse state.
Bug	32790	Navigating during save results in no snackbar notification	Navigating away from a page while saving changes no longer prevents the confirmatory snackbar notification from being displayed.
Bug	34479	Routing Manager ‘add new route' buttons disabled	The ‘add new route’ buttons have been removed from the Routing Manager’s `Pages` and `Media items` tabs for clarity, as Page and Media Item routes can only be added in the Page Editor and Media Library respectively.
Bug	36305	Page Editor content occasionally not rendering	The `Content` tab in the Page Editor no longer occasionally shows as blank when loading complex Pages.
Bug	37095	Picklist merge order not consistent with other features	Picklist Item changes in different Tasks are now merged into Approved Content in the same order as other features, such as Page Layout changes.
Bug	37978	Component Editor save reorders Variables	Variables in the Component Editor’s Configure Variables screen are no longer reordered upon saving.
Bug	39382	Translation Job details Variant filter shows irrelevant options	The Variant filter in the Translation Job `Details` screen now only lists Variants as options that are affected by the translation.
Bug	39722	Notification panel and burger menu appear offset	Notifications and burger menu options no longer open too far below their intended position, leaving a gap.
Bug	39882	Audit History dropdown filter options limited after selection	Audit History dropdown filters now correctly show all available filter options after a filter value has been selected, rather than only the current and default values.
Bug	40870	Data Feed ‘add field’ warning text flicker	Warning text no longer briefly displays when clicking the ‘add field’ button in Data Feed definitions.
Bug	40948	Page Editor shows content of wrong Locale	The Page Editor no longer sometimes displays content from the wrong Locale.
Bug	41713	Page Tree unknown error on copy/paste	The Page Tree no longer sometimes errors when attempting to copy and paste a Page.
Bug	34581	Failure upon attempting to sign out	The CMS no longer occasionally errors when attempting to sign out.
Bug	38204	Incorrect Data Feed Items showing after Task switch	Data Feed Items no longer fail to correctly update in the UI when switching between Tasks that have different Data Feed Definitions.
Bug	39566	Image upload incorrectly shows dark filename box during upload	The dark filename box is no longer displayed during image upload since it will not contain a filename until after the upload has been completed.
Bug	39908	Audit History filters are retained but not displayed	Audit History filters are no longer still applied, despite appearing to be reset, after navigating away from the page and back again in the UI.
Bug	41614	‘Add new component’ dialogue includes redundant semi-circle	The ‘add new component’ dialogue no longer includes a redundant grey semi-circle over the centre of the ‘template’ toggle control.
Bug	41889	Task Review `Impact` tab shows content from deleted components	The Task Review `Impact` tab no longer shows changes to Component content for a Page when that Component has been deleted by another completed Task.
Bug	41822	Task Review `Impact` tab does not show deleted Pages	The Task Review `Impact` tab now shows Pages that have been deleted.
Workaround	45818	Variable type swap causes error on save	The Component Editor occasionally errors on save when two or more Variables change either their Variable type or the Picklist used (for Picklist Variables). For example, when a Variable `Text` and `RichText`, each with the appropriate type, have their types switched with each other before saving. The workaround is to modify Variable types or Picklists one at a time.
Limitation	38739	Floating edit controls move outside bounds of RTE when scrolling	The ‘floating’ edit controls for the Rich Text Editor can move outside of expected boundaries while scrolling up and down. This is a third-party library limitation.
Limitation	45261	Cursor moves to top of RTE after inserting image	The cursor jumps to the beginning of the Rich Text Editor area after inserting an image. This is a third-party library limitation.
Limitation	45392	Videos inserted into RTE cannot be resized	Users are unable to change the size of videos that are inserted into the Rich Text Editor. This is a third-party library limitation.
