Tags v3.1

Purpose

This document describes how to use the tagging feature in Forrit CMS

Prerequisites

Content must have been created to attach tags to.

Supplementary

 Search v3.1

Introduction

Tags allow for the organisation of various aspects of the Forrit platform. Once tagged, those items can be found using the Search feature.

Media Items

To add a tag to a media Item:

  • Click the Media library link from the Library section in the menu.

  • Ensure that a task is selected.

  • Select a media item to open the media library details panel:

  • Note the tags area near the bottom of the details panel. This control looks the same throughout the system:

  • To add a new tag, type a name into the New tag… area. To save it, either press Enter or click the + icon.

  • Multiple tags may be added at once by entering a comma-separated list.

  • Tags may be deleted by clicking the X icon on each tag.

  • All tags can be deleted by clicking the recycle bin icon.

With the media library, the Forrit platform automatically generates tags when a media item is uploaded by using image recognition software.

Other Items

Tagging works in a similar way across other objects within Forrit. Look for the tags control.

The following items can be tagged in v3.0:

  • Components

  • Content Items

  • Data Feed Items

  • Media Items

  • Pages

  • Releases

  • Task Reviews

  • Picklists

Note that when creating a new component or data feed items, the item must be saved first before tags can be added.
