3.3 Release Concept: Developer

Conceptual Overview

A Release is a package of content that is ready to be used in live applications

A Release is a snapshot of a Project’s content at a point in time. This snapshot can be taken from a Task or from the Approved Content. Note, however, that Releases created from Tasks can only be published to non-production environments. Consumer Applications retrieve content from Releases that are published to them using the SDK.

Notes

Released content is completely decoupled from Forrit One CMS – it does not contain any Forrit One-specific markup.
