4.0 Add a Content Type

Content Types are similar to Data Feed Definitions from v3.3, which have been removed

Users must be granted the Content developer permission by an administrator to access Content Types.

📋 Setup

Select a Task

In the side menu, click Library

In the sub-menu that appears, click Content types

In the header bar, click the expander arrow if the filter options are hidden

📘 Steps

Add a Content Type

Click Add new content type

For Name, enter a name for the Content Type

[Optional] For Description, enter a description for the Content Type

Add a Content Type Field

At least one Content Type Field must be added

For example, to add a Boolean field:

Click Add new field +

Click Boolean

For Name, enter a name for the field

[Optional] For Hint, enter a hint for content editors filling out the field

Click Save

You may repeat to add as many fields as you like before saving.

Return to the Content Type Library

To return to the Content Type Library, click Close

Notes

The Name of a Content Type must be:

  • Between 3 and 100 characters long

  • Unique per Project (not used in other Tasks or in the Approved Content)

The Name of a Content Type Field must be:

  • Lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and underscores

  • Between 3 and 100 characters long

  • Unique per Content Type

Content Type Fields of the following types can be added:

  • Boolean

  • Date Time

  • Number (real)

  • Number (integer)

  • Media item

  • Reference link

  • Rich text

  • Text

  • Picklist
