Working with Tasks
A task is a simple way of bundling up changes and content edits that you want to be published at the same time. They may be a bundle of edits that are quick updates to correct small errors or campaigns for special events like Christmas or Summer. Think of this like simultaneous editing, giving your the team the flexibility of creating and essentially parking content updates, allowing more efficient ways of working.
When working with tasks, you have the ability to open up 49 individual tasks inside Forrit One, and because of the simultaneous update function, it is wise to publish to your completed task to a staging environment first, for a full review. This is an optional but highly recommended step in the content editing process because backing out changes from your live website can be tricky. Especially if you have multiple tasks being created and released on the original content.
You can add an approval workflow to ensure tasks that are highly sensitive are reviewed and approved by the appropriate personnel before they are published to your website. You can learn more about that in the Task Approval Workflow work instruction.
