4.0 Edit a Content Type
Content Types are similar to Data Feed Definitions from v3.3, which have been removed
Users must be granted the Content developer
permission by an administrator to access Content Types.

📋 Setup
Select a Task
In the side menu, click Library
In the sub-menu that appears, click Content types
In the header bar, click the expander arrow if the filter options are hidden
📘 Steps
Edit a Content Type
On the Content Type to edit, click the Edit
icon
In the Content Type Editor that opens, you can edit the following:
Name
: the name of the Content TypeDescription
: the description of the Content TypeTags
: the tags of the Content Type, which it can be searched by – for more information about tagging, see Using the Tag ControlFields
: the Content Type Fields, which Content Editors create Content Entries for – for more informaton about Content Type Fields, see Add a Content Type Field
To change the order of a Content Type Field, click and drag the handle on its left-hand side
To undo your changes since the last save, click Undo
To save your edits, click Save
Return to the Content Type Library
To return to the Content Type Library, click Close

Name
is required for all Content Type Fields
At least one Content Type Field is required
Content Types can also be edited by:
Selecting a Content Type from the Reference Link Tree
Clicking
Create new
when creating Reference Link Content Type Fields
Warnings
This feature is Task-protected, which means that all changes and deletions can ultimately be recovered by discarding the Task and starting a new one; however, such changes should still be carefully considered – as abandoning a Task means abandoning the rest of its changes as well
Editing a Content Type updates all of its Content Entries – for example, with new fields
Deleting a Content Type Field deletes its associated Content Entry Fields
