4.0 Page Tree Concept: Content Editor

Introduction

The Page Tree is a visual aid that helps you conceptually organise the Pages and Page Templates you’re working on in Forrit One. Its structure does not affect your content or applications.

In this section, you will learn:

  1. What the Page Tree is

  2. What the Page Tree includes

  3. The Page Tree structure does not change your content

Page Tree overview

The Page Tree is a hierarchical list of Pages

You can arrange your Pages in Forrit One into a hierarchical folder structure – like a file directory. This might make it easier for you to navigate and conceptualise the Pages being worked on.

Page Templates can also be organised in the Page Tree in a separate area. Just like Pages, they can be structured hierarchically using Page Tree Folders.

The Page Tree is only a visual aid in Forrit One and does not affect your content in any way. It, for example, does not impact Page routing or the structure of any navigation elements you may have in your content, such as navbars.

The Page Tree is a hierarchical structure

The following diagram shows how the Page Tree is a hierarchical structure of Pages and Page Tree Folders.

Notes

The Page Tree is a just a visual aid for you while working in Forrit One – it does not affect the structure of your content in any way.
