Using a picklist during content editing v3.1

Purpose

The following guide demonstrates how to use a picklist during page content editing.

Once a picklist has been added and declared within a component, it is ready to be used in the Page Editor:

  1. Using the left-hand side navigation menu, browse to Pages

  2. Select an existing task, or create a new task

  3. Select an existing page, or create a new page

  4. Ensure the page Layout contains the required component, with the picklist variable assigned

  5. Switch to the Content tab

  6. Select your required Variant

  7. Select the component to open the page editing experience

  8. Find the picklist variable you assigned

  9. You will note that the picklist is available within the page editor, and you can now select the necessary value from the dropdown. To empty the picklist selection and reset it back to its original state, select the Clear button.

  10. Confirm your edit, and select Save Page to save the page content update

  11. If your picklist is being used with visible text on the page, you will now see this in the page preview
