4.0 Edit a Content Entry

Content Entries are similar to Data Feed Items from v3.3, which have been removed

Users must be granted the Content editor permission by an administrator to access Content Entries.

📋 Setup

Select a Task

In the side menu, click Library

In the sub-menu that appears, click Content entries

In the header bar, click the expander arrow if the filter options are hidden

📘 Steps

On the Content Entry to be edited, click the Edit icon

In the Content Entry Editor that opens, you can edit the following:

  • Name: the name of the Content Entry

  • Locale: the Locale currently being edited

  • Tags: the tags of the Content Entry, which it can be searched by – for more information about tagging, see Using the Tag Control

  • Fields: the Content Entry Fields, which you fill out with values – for more information about editing Content Entry Fields, see Edit a Content Entry Field

To undo your changes since the last save, click Undo

To save your edits, click Save

Return to the Content Entry Library

To return to the Content Entry Library, click Close

Content Entry Fields may have different values for each Locale

(warning) Warnings

This feature is Task-protected, which means that all changes and deletions can ultimately be recovered by discarding the Task and starting a new one; however, such changes should still be carefully considered – as abandoning a Task means abandoning the rest of its changes as well

Editing a Content Entry changes it everywhere it is used (everywhere it’s Reference Linked)
