5.0 Delete a Content Entry

Users must be granted the Content editor permission by an administrator to access Content Entries.

User Journey - Deleting a Content entry

📋 Setup

Select a Task

In the side menu, click Library

In the sub-menu that appears, click Content entries

In the header bar, click the expander arrow if the filter options are hidden

📘 Steps

Delete a single Content Entry

1️⃣

On the Content Entry to delete, click the Delete icon

2️⃣

Click Yes to confirm

  • The Content Entry is deleted from the Content Entry Library

  • A success message is displayed at the bottom of the window

Delete multiple Content Entries

1️⃣

On the Content Entries to delete, select the checkboxes on their left-hand side

2️⃣

Click the Delete button in the top-right

3️⃣

Click Yes to confirm

  • The Content Entries are deleted from the Content Entry Library

  • A success message is displayed at the bottom of the window

Delete from the Content Entry Editor

1️⃣

Click the Edit icon on an existing Content Entry

2️⃣

In the top-right, click the Delete button

3️⃣

Click Yes to confirm

  • You are returned to the Content Entry Library

  • The Content Entry is removed from the Content Entry Library

  • A success message is displayed at the bottom of the window

warning Warnings

This feature is Task-protected, which means that all changes and deletions can ultimately be recovered by discarding the Task and starting a new one; however, such changes should still be carefully considered – as abandoning a Task means abandoning the rest of its changes as well

Deleting a Content Entry does not delete the Content Entries it references

Deleting a Content Entry unlinks it from any Reference Link fields

Deleting a Content Entry removes it from any Reference Link Trees that link to it

Deleting a Content Entry in the middle of a chain of linked Content Entries disconnects the chain
